 BUCC presents: “লুপের বাইরে” A  Day-Long Tour 2025

The wait is finally over! On December 5, we’re stepping out of the loop for a full day of fun, fresh air, and unforgettable memories as we head to Saheb Bari Resort in Rajendrapur Cantonment, where the BUCC family will come together for a day that blends adventure, laughter, and much-needed relaxation, turning an ordinary Friday into a story worth telling, a moment worth capturing, and a memory that will stay long after the day is done.

A Collaboration That Upgrades the Community

BUCC believes in #Upgrading with the community, not only themselves. As a part of it, along with having their own website, they proudly serve others to make their online prominence better as well. 

We’re delighted to have collaborated with BRAC University Natural Sciences Club - BUNSC in bringing their official website to life!  And undeniably teamwork made this innovation come alive! A huge shout-out to our talented developers Ahmed Unais and Nafiul Nafis, who worked behind the scenes to make this project possible. Along with BUCC Treasurer, Affan Hossain Rakib, proudly represented BUCC at Genesis Fall ’25, where a preview of the website’s draft was unveiled.

We remember this amazing opportunity to work and innovate together with BUNSC. Wishing the best for other days to collaborate and innovate together.

Curiosity doesn’t wait for the future, it creates it. At BUCC, we believe the journey to innovation starts the moment you decide to upgrade yourself.

Just like that,  one of the Upgraded BUCC's senior executive Mukshitur Rahman Raphy conducted a session to unravel the mysteries of Quantum Computing from BUCC at 13th Istarc. Science and Technology Festival 2025. From Bits to Qubits, the session highlighted exploring the future of computing, quantum phenomena, and the security challenges unveiled algorithms.

Alongside him, other Senior Executives of BUCC attended the festival, exploring interactive stalls, witnessing student innovations. Their visit wasn’t just about observing, it was about getting inspired to Upgrade themselves. Because at BUCC, we don’t just code the future, we ignite it.

Beyond Grades & Deadlines: The Spirit of Real Research

On 2nd November, 2025, BRAC University Computer Club (BUCC) A.M. Turing Research Incubation Wing held a session named Beyond Grades & Deadlines: The Spirit of Real Research. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman was the guest speaker and talked about how to get started with research, sharing helpful advice for students who want to begin their research journey. The event was hosted by Anika Salsabil, a Senior Executive of the Press Release and Publication department of BUCC.

Dr. Rahman advised to not just follow popular trends like AI research, as the research field is very large, and there are many other areas to explore. He told students to choose a topic according to their own strengths instead of following the hype. In addition, he suggested to the participants that they could enroll in online courses to gain more background knowledge on the field that they’re interested in. He then showed the audience the steps to find a suitable supervisor and how to approach them. He discussed different kinds of research and journals.Dr. Rahman then shared how to stay in touch with the supervisor and how one can stay determined to work and get results. He went through the entire process of doing research which included some of his own life experiences. He mentioned what mistakes not to make and inspired the audience in the area of research. Before concluding, Dr. Rahman shared a few inspiring stories, motivating students to stay determined on their research. Then the event ended with an engaging Q&A session, followed by a photo session with Dr. Rahman and all the participants.

Beyond the Gown: Celebrating BRACU’s 17th Convocation

BRAC University’s 17th Convocation, held from 27–29 November, stood as a powerful celebration of excellence, rooted in perseverance, shaped by innovation, and strengthened by a community determined to “Make the Difference.” This milestone marked not an ending, but the beginning of countless new journeys, as graduates stepped forward with ambition, courage, and dreams ready to unfold. The ceremony was a vibrant testament to dedication, hard work, and the limitless potential of BRACU’s students, inspiring everyone present to embrace the future with hope and confidence.

The Story Timeline :  How the Series Evolved

Beyond the Buzzwords: What is Blockchain and Why Should You Care?

You've likely heard the terms "blockchain" and "cryptocurrency" tossed around in the news. While often linked to digital money like Bitcoin, the underlying technology of blockchain is a revolutionary innovation with far-reaching potential beyond just finance. It's fundamentally changing how we can establish trust and transparency in the digital world.

The Problem with Traditional Data: In a conventional database system, a single, central authority, like a bank or a government, holds all the data. This means you have to trust that entity to manage the information securely and honestly. This centralized approach creates a single point of failure and vulnerability to hacking, fraud, and human error.

Enter the Blockchain: Blockchain solves this problem by using decentralized, distributed digital ledger. Imagine a shared notebook that everyone in a network can access and update, but with a critical twist: once something is written down, it can never be erased or altered without everyone else in the network knowing about it.

How it works:

  • Blocks of Data: Transactions and information are recorded in "blocks".

  • Cryptographic Chaining: Each new block is cryptographically linked to the previous one using a unique digital fingerprint called a "hash". This creates a secure, chronological chain, making it nearly impossible to tamper with past records.

  • Decentralized Network: This ledger isn't stored in one place; it's replicated across a network of computers (nodes). All participants in the network must agree (via a consensus mechanism) that a transaction is valid before it's added to the chain, eliminating the need for a central intermediary.
